RADO meeting of the Gulf States ends effectively with a workshop for all committees

Yesterday, the 14th RADO meeting of the Gulf States and Yemen, which was hosted by the Saudi capital; Riyadh, concluded its works which lasted for two days.

The meeting was held in the Intercontinental hotel in Riyadh city, where Mr. Adam Klevinas, the WADA Legal Affairs manager presented “Results Management” workshop with the participation of 40 members of the Hearing and Appeal Committees in the Gulf States, whom had been briefed on the explanation of the new rules in the Code and their equivalents in the International Standards. In addition, many discussions about doping issues such as the use or assisting the use or the administration of prohibited substances, took place.

Chairmen of the Anti-Doping Committees in the Gulf States had paid a visit to HRH Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud; General President of Youth Welfare, and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee at his office in Riyadh, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Saleh Konbaz; Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Anti-Doping Committee, and Mr. Abdulaziz Almasaed; SAADC’s Secretary General, in addition to some members of the Board in SAADC.

HRH Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad had been briefed on the efforts exerted by members of those committees in the field of combating doping in Asia, in the past and the work plan for the future.

HRH Prince Abdullah Bin Mosaad had praised SAADC’s efforts in providing anti-doping programs of awareness about rules and regulations and what athletes should be aware of in this regard, as well as the application of the doping control program in all the Saudi sport competitions.
