The Saudi Arabian Anti-Doping Committee (SAADC) would like to clarify its position to all affiliates of the sport community about what has been circulated by the media about the Adverse Analytical Result of Mr. Mohammed Noor Hawsawi ( Al-Ittihad Football Club player).

Based on Article 14 of the Saudi Anti-Doping Rules in Sport, and particularly Article 14-3-1: Public Disclosure, SAADC will have the right to the following:

1. The Adverse Analytical Finding was received by SAADC on Wednesday morning 25 Nov. 2015.
2. As per the rules listed in Results Management of Article 7 in the Saudi Anti-Doping Rules in Sport, SAADC shall conduct an initial review of the Doping Control Forms and the Laboratory result within 48 hours of the result recipient.
3. The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has been notified through Top Confidential letter at 11:00 am, Sunday 29th November 2015, (Friday and Saturday :weekend). The notification included: an imposition of provisional suspension on the player till the completion of all procedures, and the player’s right to attend hearing session by Thursday, December 3, 2015, and the player’s right to open and analyze Bottle B of his sample.
4. Once such procedures are completed, a decision shall be issued by the Saudi Anti-Doping Hearing Panel according to the Saudi Anti-Doping Rules in Sport. It is worth-mentioning that Article 14 of the Saudi Anti-Doping Rules in Sport entitles SAADC to issue media statement once the athlete is notified of the anti-doping rule violation where appropriate.

Therefore, SAADC was been keen to clarify all the facts of such issue in this statement to everybody, motivated by the principle of transparency, and its conviction that all affiliates of the sport community are considered to be partners in promoting the precept of True Play and athletes’ protection.
